The Clock is Ticking

My time abroad is nearly over, a week today I'll be back in the UK, and probably sat with a pint in hand at the Mowbreck Beer festival. I'm back in Canada now, although not Alberta, after a the best part of a month in the states. I'll give a brief summary below of whats gone down...

  • Left LA, traveled north via Frenso and into the Yosemite Valley.
  • 5 days of climbing in the valley, lots a big routes with the definite finale being an ascent of Half Dome via Snake Dyke - this deserves a post in its own right.
  • Yosemite to San Francisco
  • A few days doing tourist like things in San Francisco - Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf etc.
  • A few days driving up the west coast through California, Oregon, Washington and finally across the boarder and into Vancouver BC.
  • Up to Squamish, two days of climbing so far, one in the Smoke Bluffs and a link up of multi-pitch routes on the Apron on the Chief today.
So I sit writing this is my friend Brittany's kitchen in Squamish, I've got another days climbing here tomarrow and then me and Dena are heading back across the Rockies to Calgary, where I've got a day or two in hand to pack stuff before flying home Thursday evening.

Summit of Half Dome, after Snake Dyke.

There so much more I want to write, so I'm going to start penning some articles on individual routes and they'll start to appear on here in the next few days, keep an eye out.
